Home > RPCC & The City > Storm Water Maintenance Prioritization Survey

Please take a few minutes and complete this city survey by April 23 to prioritize maintenance for the Chollas Creek drainage channel that runs through Rolando Park.

https://www.sandiego.gov/stormwater/services/maintenance

Our section of the channel between Aragon and College is seriously overgrown. It was last cleaned in January 2016. Unfortunately, a permanent solution is not likely for some time, so we want to get the channel cleaned out again to help prevent flooding.

The pictures below were taken in December 2019 and show what can happen when we have a hard rainfall and the drainage channel overflows.

You can pick your own five priorities, but screen shot 1 shows the channel from Aragon to College (behind Rolando Plaza); these are our first three priorities for the community. Screen shot 2 shows the channel west of College through Redwood Village, #4 and #5, but again, designate your own priorities.

The more responses received for our section of the Chollas Creek drainage channel, the more likely it is that our section can get some much-needed maintenance.

Thanks for your help!
