Voting is now closed. Thank you to everyone who voted. Results will be posted shortly.

San Diegans for Justice is proposing a Charter Amendment to the City of San Diego to establish an independent commission on police practices. If the proposal is approved by the City Council in July, it would be on the November 2020 ballot for voters to decide.

San Diegans for Justice would like Rolando Park Community Council to support their proposal and add our name to their list of supporters. Find more information and see a complete list of supporters at their website.

Kate Yavenditti, an attorney for San Diegans for Justice, presented the proposal at our March meeting. We had hoped to have a member vote at our April or May meeting on the proposal, but our meetings were cancelled due to COVID-19.
