Home > Rolando Park News > Board Members Needed

Rolando Park Community Council hosts monthly meetings that provide a link between our community and government bodies. We also engage in projects throughout the year to improve our community and quality of life.

We are looking for volunteers to serve on the board for a two-year term.

The RPCC will have four openings for the 2021-2022 Board:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Member-at-Large

Our most immediate need is for the Vice President and Treasurer positions.

Co-Presidents Sonia Lang and Lynn Edwards have served two terms, but are willing to stay for another term unless someone else would like to run for this position.

Members at Large Judy Fleischman and Dan Parker also plan to stay for another term, but there’s room for two to three more. Have a community project in mind that you would like to lead? Becoming a member at large is a good place to start.

Responsibilities:

  • President – Serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Council and presides at all meetings of the Council and Executive Board.
  • Vice President – Serves as the program chairperson and presides at meetings in the absence of the President.
  • Treasurer – Collects dues, maintains the membership list, handles banking, and disburses funds as authorized by the Board. The treasurer maintains financial records, provides financial reports to the Board and the members, and is responsible for completing reports and paperwork required of the RPCC.
  • Member-at-Large – Takes a lead position on a task or project related to the overall interests of the RPCC.

New board members will begin to serve a two-year term in January 2021.

Any position can be co-shared (co-shared positions share one vote on the board).
