Pace Car Program Yard Signs Now Available to Community
By now, you might have noticed our yard signs (designed by a Rolando Park Elementary student) around the community. Rolando Park Community Council has distributed the yard signs to everyone who has taken the pace car pledge in the last year and requested a sign. We have some signs left over that are available to everyone in the community for a $5 donation.
If you want a sign for your yard, please email rpcc2003@gmail.com and include the following information:
- Your name and address
- Contact information (email or phone #)
- Best time to reach you and arrange delivery of a sign
First come, first served!
Pace Car Program Yard Signs Are Here!
Residents who have taken the pace car pledge to follow the speed limit in our community and are displaying the pace car decal on their car can now get a free yard sign to promote traffic safety in our community.
We will be contacting everyone who has taken the pledge to date.
If you haven’t taken the pledge, you can complete the online form at
https://rolandopark.org/cause/ready-to-take-the-pace-car-pledge/
We’ll deliver a decal (removable vinyl for interior of rear window or magnetic for exterior) in a few days and once your decal is on your car, you are also eligible for a yard sign.
If we have any signs left, we will make them available to the rest of the community at a later date.
If you are unfamiliar with our Pace Car project, community/neighborhood pace car programs aim to make neighborhoods safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers. Drivers agree to drive at or below the speed limit and follow other traffic laws and sign a pledge developed by SDPD to abide by the rules, and display a sticker on their vehicle. Our goal is to reduce speeding by residents in our community.
Volunteer Opportunity with Rolando Park Community Council (RPCC)
RPCC is in need of a Secretary for our 2019 Board. The current two volunteers sharing the Secretary position have both served for more than the two-year term. They have decided not to continue in this Board role.
The Secretary position can be filled by one volunteer or shared by two volunteers. The primary responsibility is taking and typing minutes for two monthly meetings (September through June): the General Member meeting and the RPCC Board meeting on the second and third Mondays of the month from 7-8:30pm.
The full description for the Secretary position is in the RPCC By-Laws, which can be found on our website on page 3.
