Garden Kitchen
Located at the corner of University/Rolando, Garden Kitchen is a unique go-to place for farm-to-table, from scratch, sustainable food and in just a few short years, has become a well-known restaurant. They are celebrating their five-year anniversary this month.
Garden Kitchen works directly with local farmers to ensure the freshest produce possible for the restaurant. Ninety-five percent of the menu comes from a farm within 25 miles.
In addition to the daily entrees, Garden Kitchen makes its own bread, croutons, pasta, tortillas, salad dressing, desserts, and ice cream from scratch.
Garden Kitchen specializes in serving locally produced beer and wine ranging from Temecula, San Diego, and Baja California. Their wine list features wine from all over California and the world including France, Spain, Italy, and beyond.
During this difficult time, Garden Kitchen is also trying to help others. Through the end of May, Garden Kitchen is donating 10% of their Tuesday sales to help support Wild Willow Farm, one of their suppliers, which has been financially struggling.
Don’t forget to check out their special Mother’s Day menu. They will be open for pickup from 12 to 6 pm, so get your preorder in early!
Garden Kitchen has done a great job in transitioning to take out service only, setting each customer with a scheduled pick up time to ensure minimal contact with other guests. Please make sure that you have your mask when coming in for pickup.
