Our guest presenter at next Monday’s meeting is Eduardo Garcia, with the California Citizens Redistricting Commission (CRC).
The CRC is responsible for redrawing Congressional, State Senate and Assembly, and Board of Equalization district boundaries once every 10 years using data collected from the Decennial Census.
For this purpose, the Commission counts with an online mapping tool called Draw My CA Community, which has been designed for stakeholders to submit their Communities of Interest (COI) public input and recommended boundaries for consideration before the CRC releases their draft maps.
This is an opportunity for you to learn how your input can impact the redistricting process.
