This month, we’ll be joined by Andrea Deleon, Recycling Specialist with the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department. Later this year the City will begin expanding its organic waste recycling by adding weekly green bin service to collect food scraps, food-soiled paper, and yard waste. This is part of a statewide organic waste recycling law (Senate Bill 1383) for all California businesses and residents.
Andrea will be discussing what can be expected for residents and businesses with the new organic waste recycling collection changes and benefits for our environment and community. There will be time at the end of the presentation to address concerns and answer questions.
