11 April, 2022
7:00 to 8:30 pm
Online via Zoom,

At this month’s meeting, Chris Carterette, Senior Regional Planner with SANDAG, will be providing an update on the University Bikeway project. This project is currently scheduled to get underway late this year and expected to be completed by 2025. The University Bikeway project starts at Estrella, west of 54th and ends at 70th.

We’ve asked Chris to share some visuals about the changes on University Ave as part of this project: new bus islands, separated bikeways, buffered bike lanes, bike-friendly intersections, and enhanced pedestrian crosswalks. Also as part of this project, University from College to 70th will be reduced to two lanes. When this project is completed, University Ave should be safer and more convenient to walk, bike, and take transit.

We’ll have time for Q&A following Chris’ presentation as there’s sure to be questions including the schedule and traffic impact during construction.
