Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT)
Our guest speaker this month is Wes Albers from the Community Research Foundation’s PERT division. PERT pairs licensed mental health clinicians with specially trained police officers to address incidents where mental health might be part of an issue needing a police response. PERT teams also partner with law enforcement homeless outreach teams (HOT) to provide proactive preventative connection to services.
This will be our last meeting until January. We’ve hosted a Holiday Social in December for the last five years, which unfortunately, will not happen this year.
Plan to join us in January for our annual community priorities meeting.
