7:45 Presentation – Our guest speakers will address our interest in focusing on improving University Avenue in 2019:

  • Elizabeth Dickson from City Planning and Land Use will focus on the land use portion of Rolando Park in the current Mid-City Community Plan.
  • Liz Studebaker and Luis Ojeda from City Economic Development will talk about ways to encourage and support small businesses, including the use of Maintenance Assessment Districts (MAD).
  • Jim Schneider, Executive Director of the College Area Business Improvement District, will share his knowledge and experience in working with small business districts.
