We have two presentation this month. First, Juan Zazueta, from the San Diego County Pest Detection Program will present on their pest detection program, which looks for exotic insects in over 9,000 traps that are placed in residential yards throughout the County for this purpose. The Pest Detection program helps protect a 1.85 billion dollar agriculture industry in San Diego County.
Next, we’ll be joined by Nazanin Wahid and Christie Hill from the ACLU. The ACLU is part of a coalition called the Coalition for Police Accountability and Transparency, which has assembled a policy package called Police Accountability Now. Nazanin and Christie will cover the policy package and the solutions that the coalition is advocating for.
