Ben McCurry, SDPD Investigations I-Vice Permits & Licensing

Sergeant McCurry will cover the basic process of this division and the role that SDPD plays in alcohol licensing and ABC’s licensing of establishments. He will also discuss Conditional Use Permits/Neighborhood Use Permits that deal with land use and SDPD’s role in providing recommendations on that land use.

Last summer, the owner of the building where Burrito Santana is now located at the corner of University and Aragon applied to ABC for a license to sell beer and wine and intends to open a 7/11 store at this location. Sergeant McCurry is currently investigating the license application for ABC.
