As one of the safest large cities in the nation, San Diego has seen a recent rash of violence across our communities citywide, and we are compelled to take action. It is imperative that we take a proactive and holistic approach to mitigate such violence and ensure that all of our communities are safe.

The Peace Movement includes both short & long-term goals. In addition, there will be practical steps for community members to implement in our communities, an art project on designated SDG&E utility boxes and ongoing outreach including town halls and healing circles.

Ultimately, the goals of the movement are to realize a reduction in violence as we work together to promote unity, healing, and peace; foster improved community and police relationships; and improve our overall quality of life.

Please RSVP by COB on Friday, July 19, 2019, to StoreyP@sandiego.gov to ensure an accurate count.
